Terms and Conditions for DayTrace

Welcome to DayTrace! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the DayTrace mobile application (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Personal Use & Responsibility
DayTrace is a personal productivity app that helps you track events, habits, and timers, and visualize your daily log, including Home Screen widgets. The App is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not resell, redistribute, modify for resale, or make the App available to third parties for commercial purposes.
3. License to Use the App
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal purposes. You may not modify, copy, reverse-engineer, distribute, rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App or any part of it.
4. Trackers, Data & Usage
- Trackers. The App provides three tracker types: events, habits, and timers, and shows a consolidated daily log.
- User Input. Content is entered by you (the user). The App does not generate content via AI.
- Local Storage. Your tracker data is stored locally on your device using Core Data.
- Widgets. The App offers Home Screen widgets to view your activity at a glance.
5. In-App Purchases & Refunds
- Free Tier: 1 tracker and 1 widget.
- Premium (IAP): Unlocks unlimited trackers and up to 8 widgets.
- All purchases are processed by Apple. Prices may vary by region according to Apple policies. Refunds are handled solely under Apple’s policy: Apple Support.
- Restore Purchases: iCloud/Apple systems are used only to restore previous purchases. App data itself is not synced via iCloud.
6. Third-Party Services
DayTrace does not use third-party content generation or analytics services. Apple services may be used for purchase processing and restoration as part of the App Store ecosystem.
7. Privacy & Data
We aim to minimize data collection. Your tracker data is stored locally on your device via Core Data. We do not receive personal data from Apple about your identity. iCloud may be used solely to restore purchases via Apple systems. For details, please review the Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
- The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
- We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all devices/OS versions.
9. Limitation of Liability
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the App is to stop using it.
10. Termination & Availability
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or certain features at any time without notice.
- We may revoke access if you violate these Terms or misuse the App.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest changes.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts in Spain shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that may grant you additional rights in your country of residence.
